Ten years after “glamping” entered the travel vernacular, Getaway launched as a reprieve for city dwellers looking to disconnect and recharge in tiny cabins among nature. The company tapped Confidant for PR that amplified its health and wellness mission as the company grew from 3 to 12 Outposts in two years. Our strategic plan included Outpost launches, thought leadership and corporate storytelling, taking Getaway beyond traditional travel coverage. We also used company booking data to insert Getaway into trend stories on safe COVID-19 travel, and PR efforts for new launches led to three of the most successful openings in Getaway’s history.
